Laurent Nzajyibwami - MBA, CHW

Laurent is currently working as a Community Health Advocate with Wright State University, Boonshoft School of medicine, facilitating new immigrants to quality Health care and providing guidance to accessing social resources in the community. 

He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Rwanda and a Bachelor degree in Demography from the Université Libre de Kigali. Prior to that, he performed as Deputy Director, Administration and Finances officer with Better Engineering Services, selling “CANON brand” office materials and He led to the rapid growth of the company. 

Across his life, He dedicated a decade, working with the World Food Program in Rwanda as Program Associate, dealing with planning, monitoring and implementing projects to addressing refugees’ needs in different programs such as humanitarian relief, Health and Nutrition, education and school feeding programs as well as small business startup initiatives. He has supervised data collection for baseline and coordinated logistics activities for mass food and non-food items distributions.

Laurent is a trained Community Interpreter and worked under contract with Vocalink Global Services and Miami Valley LLC, interpreting in Medical, Court house, Administration and School services. He is a multilingual asset, speaking English, French, Kinyarwanda, Kirundi, Lingala and Swahili.

Laurent contracted with Ebenezer Healthcare Access and Valens Solutions as Community Health Worker, connecting immigrants to quality Health care, quality life resources such as housing, education and food assistance.
